Stena Line

Taking Stena Line ferries makes travel to Ireland easier than ever. Stena Line provides six routes on the Irish Sea. Their ships sail from Cairnryan, Wales to Belfast, Fishguard; Wales to Rosslare; Holyhead, England to Dublin or Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire; Stranraer, Scotland to Belfast; and the newest route from Liverpool to Belfast.

The Superferry Stena Europe crosses from Fishguard to Rosslare all year, with the high speed Stena Lynx III added from July to September. The port provides full service facilities including short and long term parking, ticket and reservation areas, coffee shop, baby changing facilities and toilets with disabled access, a motorist lounge with television, a children’s play area, and pay phones. Stena also offers personal assistance as necessary for disabled passengers.

One of two new routes provided by Stena Lines takes travellers from Liverpool to Belfast. This links Northern Ireland with the Heart of England on the Stena Lagan and Stena Mersey. Crossing time is approximately 8 hours. Both day and night sailings are available. Holiday travellers can cross overnight, arriving in Belfast in the morning, ready to start their land travel or can take a day sailing relaxing, unwinding and preparing for an evening in the city and a night’s stay before beginning their trip.

Sailing between Cairnryan and Belfast on the biggest ferries available is the second new route Stena has added. The Stena Superfast VII and VIII make the crossing in 2 ¼ hours offering 6 crossings per day. Ferry and hotel packages provide an overnight break while travelling to Ireland, readying the traveller for the adventures to come. Belfast has emerged from long conflict to become a vibrant tourist destination. Due to its compact size and picturesque location, nestled between the beautiful coastline and rugged mountains, it is now a destination port for many travellers.

Rail & Sail is a convenient, affordable and comfortable method of travel. It offers competitive, guaranteed prices with no restriction on luggage. Booking can be done online if completed 7 days in advance, the traveller must have a UK postal address for ticketing purposes, and be traveling from the top 10 departure ports in Britain or from Belfast to those British ports.

Stena Lines also provide ferry service from Harwich to Holland, allowing patrons to enjoy the idyllic countryside and cultural delights of one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan destinations. It is easy to get around using readily accessible roads and rail links. Exploration of the Netherlands’ cities of Amsterdam, Ultrecht, Rotterdam and Delft is only a short drive farther. Travellers can enjoy Eindhoven and Maastricht at the crossroads of Holland, Germany and Belgium.

Stena Lines have bright, spacious ships which make travel both fast and enjoyable. The comfort and onboard facilities provide a relaxing journey and fun for all ages. Those who want to treat themselves can upgrade to the exclusive Stena Plus Lounge. There guests travel in luxury, and greater comfort. Additional waiter service with an exclusive menu is provided.
