DFDS scoops Best Long Sea Ferry Operator – again

Congratulations to DFDS Seaways who have been named Europe’s Best Long Sea Ferry Operator 2011 by the World Travel Awards. The company has won the award for a remarkable five years in a row now, it illustrates the high level of service they offer on their Newcastle to Amsterdam and Harwich to Esbjerg ferry routes.

The awards were held at the Diamond Golf Resort & Spa in Antalya, Turkey, and DFDS UK Head of Sales Andrew Crowe was there in person to receive the award. Commenting on the honour, Andrew said “This is a phenomenal success for the whole team and demonstrates just how dedicated we are to maintaining a first class product range and travel experience. To be voted for by fellow travel professionals and consumers alike makes it very prestigious honour indeed.”

The World Travel Awards are well known as one of the highest accolades within the travel industry and aim to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. More than 213,000 people from consumers to travel industry professionals voted for their favourite travel brands.

DFDS Seaways puts thinks its repeated success is down to a number of factors: quality onboard offering with restaurants, bars, live entertainment and Kids’ club coupled with exceptional customer service.
