Some good news on the Irish Sea ferries front – Stena Line have announced that they are moving from Stranraer to a new state of the art port at Cairnryan and introducing the biggest ferries ever to sail between Northern Ireland and Scotland – the imaginatively named Superfast VII and Superfast VIII.
The journey time will be 2 hours 15 minutes and the ferries offer the prospect of a great onboard experience. Facilities include:
- A Nordic Spa – yes, you read that right. Take a jacuzzi or relax in the sauna.
- Living Room TV and magazine lounge
- POD Room with iPads and Xboxes
- TASTE – “all new dining experience”
- Free WIFI
- Free movies
- Stena Plus Lounge
It looks like Stena are really upping the game on Irish Sea Ferries and we’re looking forward to being one of the first to try the new route. You will soon be able to book online here. Stena also have a competition to win one of 50 free car trips for two which you can enter here.
