National Cruise Week – Ferries Lead The Way

National Cruise Week began on 18th September, its aim to promote the cruise industry to new and existing customers. Cruising is benefitting from something of a resurgence and there’s more choice in destinations, ships, and timings than ever before. Cruise Compare lists hundreds of cruises from multiple suppliers so you can research your ideal cruise from your armchair.

For us ferry passengers there is of course the “mini-cruise”. P&O have been running minicruises from Hull to Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and Bruges for years and these minicruises remain popular today. This is especially so during P&O’s 2-for-1 offers on selected dates. DFDS also offer minicruises from Newcastle to Amsterdam.

Typically a mini-cruise will offer the ferry crossing, accommodation onboard, optional meals onboard, and coach transfers to and from the destination.

If you’re looking for a quick, low cost, pre-Christmas getaway, then a mini-cruise could be the ideal choice.
